In Chile, a dachshund flew out of an airplane and landed in the desert. - Wikipet
At the Chilean airport, when unloading baggage from an airplane, a cage with a dachshund named Gaspar was dropped. The cage opened and a frightened dog fled to the nearby desert.
2-year-old Gaspard went on a flight from Santiago to Iquique with his mistress Janice Cavieras and her friend. However, when the girls arrived in Iquique, among the rest of the luggage, they received only an empty carrier with a broken door.
They were informed that when unloading luggage, the carrier fell and the dog ran out of it. After that, the girls turned to social networks for help and asked to inform them if someone saw a dachshund near the airport.
A couple of people said that they saw a dachshund in the desert, but when they tried to catch it, the dog was hiding from them. Then the airline attracted local soldiers to the search for the dog and they began to comb the desert around the airport.
Only six days later, the dachshund was found. The dog was alive and unharmed, but dehydrated and exhausted; in the desert, it could not find any food or water.
Now, according to Janice Cavieras, Gaspar eats up and wakes up. The airline, meanwhile, has claimed responsibility for the accident and is conducting an internal investigation into employee negligence.
