Boxer feeding: rules and choice of food
The principles of feeding a boxer should be determined before the puppy comes to you for permanent residence. Ask the breeder how your pet ate - and follow the same principles for the first time. All innovations should be introduced very carefully and gradually.

Boxer dogs have a delicate digestive system, so you have to deal with the issue of feeding the boxer with all responsibility.
If you prefer to feed the boxer with natural food, you must ensure that it contains all the nutrients. Boxers are given meat and fish, eggs (raw yolk or boiled egg), cottage cheese. The meat is given raw, boiled or half-baked. You can’t give pork! In a boiled bird or rabbit, all bones are carefully removed. The liver, spleen and lungs can be boiled. The fish is boiled.
You can give rice porridge, crackers from brown bread, dog biscuits.
Boxers are also treated to finely chopped vegetables (but not to the ones they puff from).
Prohibited Boxer Products:
- everything is sweet
- waste from the table
- as well as stale or poor quality food.
Improper, unbalanced feeding of the boxer can cause allergies. Therefore, it is important to feed the dog with specially prepared food or carefully selected dry food, which will be discussed below.
Take care of vitamin and mineral supplements (calcium, vitamin B is especially needed), but consult your veterinarian first.
An overdose of vitamins A, D and phosphorus can adversely affect bone condition.
Some owners prefer to dry-feed their pets. A good finished feed contains everything you need, it is convenient to store and does not need to waste time cooking. Variety is not needed here. On the contrary, when changing the feed, a digestive system disorder is possible.
When choosing food for a boxer, stop at a high-quality product (premium or super premium class). Choose it according to the size, fatness of the dog, age and level of activity.
It is better to feed the dog several times a day, in small portions, avoiding overeating.
